R3 welcomes Bruce Bosworth

bruce_bosworthR3 is pleased to announce the addition of Bruce Bosworth to our company in November 2013. Bruce recently retired from the U.S. Navy after more than 22 years of service as a Explosive Ordnance Disposal Officer and Surface Warfare Officer. He served in a wide variety of assignments including Surface Warfare, EOD, Coastal Riverine Force, and Navy Reserve management. He has a diverse background in EOD, diving and salvage, training management, fiscal management, requirements development, and homeland defense.

A Naval Academy graduate, Bruce began his Navy career as a Surface Warfare Officer with service on a cruiser, USS Wainwright (CG-28), and as an Officer-in-Charge in Assault Craft Unit FIVE before transitioning to the Special Operations/EOD community. Bruce’s worldwide service includes duty in Charleston, SC; Agana, Guam; Kings Bay, GA; Washington, DC; Naples, Italy; and San Diego, CA with deployments to the Mediterranean, Western Pacific, Caribbean, and Africa.

Bruce commanded EOD Mobile Unit SEVEN and Navy Operational Support Center, Portland, OR. His staff assignments include serving as EOD Requirements Officer for the Chief of Naval Operations, EOD and Expeditionary Warfare Officer at U.S. SIXTH Fleet, and Chief Staff Officer for Coastal Riverine Group ONE.

Bruce holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Naval Academy and a Masters of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College. He is a certified Project Management Professional. His experience in joint EOD, maritime security, riverine, and expeditionary operations make him a great addition to R3. We are excited to have Bruce join our team.
