He was the honor graduate of Class 122, U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy at Newport, RI. Representative Howard “Buck” McKeon (R-CA), Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee with R3's Marc Tranchemontagne, representing NDIA’s EOD Committee

An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Day on Capitol Hill was held on 17 November to stress the importance of preserving the EOD force structure, funding the baseline EOD budget and keeping the faith with EOD Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines and their families. The event was hosted by the Congressional EOD Caucus, co-chaired by Representatives Rick Crawford (R-AR) and Susan Davis (D-CA), and focused on highlighting the contributions of the Army and Air Force as elements of the joint service EOD force.  Another EOD Day on the Hill is planned for March 2012 which will highlight the Navy and Marine Corps.  R3 has been a proud supporter of the EOD Day on the Hill events as well as a key contributor to helping Representative Crawford and Davis organize the EOD Caucus.  The purpose of the EOD Caucus is to inform Congressional members and staff about the critical importance of EOD forces to our national security, protecting our interests and citizens both at home and abroad. These highly trained elite warriors are the key enablers in the ongoing war on Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and the Caucus works to ensure awareness to preserve both the capability and capcity of our nation’s EOD force.
