Richard Hastings

Richard Hastings retired from active duty in 2011 with over 28 years of service as a Master Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician and Command Master Chief. His operational assignments include EODMU NINE, EODMU FIVE DET FIVE ONE in Sasebo Japan, EODMU FIVE, EODMU TWO Detachment Newport, EODMU TWO Command Master Chief and Commander Task Force 56 Command Master Chief in Bahrain. He completed staff assignments at EOD Fleet Liaison Unit as a Joint Service RDT&E coordinator and at the Navy Expeditionary Combat Command’s Training Synergy Branch.

His significant qualifications include Master EOD Technician, Naval Parachutist, SCUBA and MK 16 Diving Supervisor, Demolition Range Safety Supervisor, HRST Master and Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist. He is a graduate of Operations Specialist “A” and “C” Schools, Second Class Dive School, Navy Senior Enlisted Academy, and Naval War College Command Master Chief Course.
